RM29.7 MILLION FOR SARAWAK MISSION SCHOOLS

KUCHING: The RM29.77 million allocation given to 127 mission schools in Sarawak proved that the federal government has never neglected the institution, said Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang.

He said the allocation could be used by the schools to upgrade their facilities for the benefit of students.
“The Barisan Nasional government is carrying out the education transformation, which includes providing assistance to mission schools in Sarawak,” he said when presenting an allocation amounting to RM27.33 million for the remaining 118 mission schools in Sarawak here recently.

Jabu said in an effort to achieve education transformation in Sarawak, the state government emphasised five key ingredients, namely dedication, integrity, discipline, wisdom and knowledge.

The Education Ministry has allocated RM1 billion to improve educational facilities throughout the country, of which RM100 million is allocated to mission schools throughout the country. (Bernama)
