Gobind: We don't know Deepak's debt details

DAP's Puchong MP Gobind Deo Singh shot down allegations against him and Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua that they were privy to an alleged debt settlement deal with businessperson Deepak Jaikishan's in exchange for levelling accusations against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

"I am telling them here and now that we are not privy to Deepak's debt details nor his debt settlement arrangements, if any.
"We really have no reason to be privy to such details at all, he said in a statement today.

He was responding to Perkasa information chief Ahmad Ruslan and former acting Perak PKR Youth chief Faizal Effendi Hasin who had called on the DAP MPs to reveal details of the alleged deal.

NONEGobind (left) challenged the duo to produce evidence instead of trying to sidetrack from Deepak's allegations against the premier and his wife Rosmah Mansor.

"If they have no evidence of this, and I am sure they have none, then they should just shut up and get on to other more important things like asking the prime minister and his wife to respond to the allegations made by Deepak of late.

"Perhaps they can tell us, shouldn't we be told why Altantuya was killed?" he said.

Deepak had claimed that, at Rosmah's request, he had made private investigators P Balasubramaniam reverse his statutory declaration linking the premier to murdered Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Like in the deaths of Teoh Beng Hock, A Kugan, Aminulrasyid Amzah and Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed where an inquiry is held, Gobind said the premier and attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail should know what to do in Altantuya's case.

The attorney-general knows that inquiries in cases like these are meant to dig out the truth. Who did it and more importantly why? Were others involved? If there were, shouldn't they be probed as well and punished if found guilty," he asked.
