HINT FROM KHALID CAMP FOR LARGESSE? TO GO: Fake letter from PKR offering RM50K a month for MB's resignation SUDDENLY emerges
Psychological warfare continues in PKR with the circulation of a letter purportedly from PKR, offering embattled Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim a cushy deal in exchange for his resignation.
PKR communications chief Fahmi Fadzil  said that the letter dated Aug 5 and said to be from secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution, bears a fake reference number.
“I have spoken to Saifuddin Nasution directly. He has denied releasing any such letter.
“The reference numer sequence is also wrong. It uses ‘JKD’ which refer to “Jawatankuasa Disiplin” (disciplinary committee),” he told Malaysiakini.
Sources in the Selangor MB’s office said that it has not received any registered mail from the PKR secretary-general.
However, its officers did receive a “picture of the letter” from various sources.
The letter, circulating on Twitter, says PKR offers the following, in exchange for Khalid’s resignation:
The post of Selangor economic advisor with an allowance of RM50,000 a month and perks equaling that of an MB;
The post of head of the Selangor water restructuring deal committee; and
Cover up of all political and financial transgressions.
Khalid himself has dismissed questions regarding the purported offer, merely repeating "no" when asked.
"I don't want (to answer), then it becomes another corruption issue," he said.
Another fake letter
Meanwhile, PAS also warned of a fake letter signed by president Abdul Hadi Awang apparently endorsing Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to replace Khalid. The letter was also making the rounds.
It starts off saying that PAS cannot be equated to Umno because it follows the Quran's teachings closely and ends by saying it has decided to back Wan Azizah.
"PAS denies that this letter has been issued by the president's office. This is an irresponsible act," the party said on its official Facebook page.
Quoting the Quran, the Islamist party then urged all to avoid having 'itchy' ears that are prone to listen to false prophets, who tell them only what they want to hear.
"Examine the truth of each statement for yourselves." it said. -M'kini
