Mahathir’s dilemma sowing discord

Was it not Dr.M himself who carved out a nation that is now bleeding along racial and religious lines?

mahathir najib300Dr M has come out with guns blazing! This time it is not Musa Hitam; not Anwar Ibrahim; not Pak Lah – but none other than Najib!
Wonder what would   Rosmah’s reaction be too?
What is wrong with our former prime minister?
When he was in power, criticisms were strictly not tolerated. Let’s face the truth, when did anyone dare to lash out openly at Dr M as how he is doing now to all of his deputies who succeeded him or whom he derailed?
When people voiced their disagreements with him he would make sure they were hit where it hurts most.
Today he chooses to run Najib down like a slain soldier in the mud.
Why?
Well it is true that no leaders are liked all the time by all the people. But why is Dr M shooting in the wide open mediascape? What is the agenda?
Some people are saying, “Anak dia punya pasal lah”. Others cling to the perception that “It must be Rosmah, siapa lagi”.
However all that is unverified. So to speculate along those lines is wrong.
Indeed this man is a real dilemma. And born out of that dilemma rests Malaysia’s fate.
We have lost the very ground on which our independence was fought for, won and built upon. We started right with the wisdom of our dearest the late Tunku Abdul Rahman and his team of multiracial leaders.
But was it not Dr M who with his ‘Malay Dilemma’ and his ‘Mahathiristic’ political will carved a nation that is now bleeding along racial and religious undercurrents and punctured with conspiracy, corruption and gerrymandering?
Why blame poor Najib now? If Dr M is better and wiser as he seems to suggest, he should have dished out a verdict even before he got  Najib behind the wheels of this nation. No?
When citizens say unpleasantries about Najib, Rosmah boomerangs to his defence. Now that Dr M has been so cruel to our current prime minister, openly withdrawing his support for the nation’s number one leader, would Najib’s faithful spouse make a quick draw on Dr M.
Dear Tun Dr Mahathir, if you cannot rescue and heal this nation, stop blaming everyone for their failures.
Indeed as a former statesman and a senior politician you should be an inspiration, a beacon of hope, a balm for a smarting nation – not one who keeps sowing seeds of discord, pain and injury at every juncture.
