Open letter to YB Noor Hanim Ismail – V. Anbalagan

YB, I am not member of any political party but a voter in the Seri Serdang constituency.
In the 13th general election last year, PAS, which is a member of Pakatan Rakyat, nominated you to contest the seat.
As the results trickled in the evening of May 5, PR retained Selangor but with more than a two-thirds majority.
Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim was reappointed MB for a second term.
However, following his sacking by PKR last Saturday, a political crisis has erupted in the state and brought about uncertainty.
Yesterday, 30 PR assemblymen came in the open to declare they were still with the coalition and supported Kajang assemblyman Datuk Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to replace Khalid.
Two of the 15 PAS state assemblymen, Saari Sungib and Hasnul Baharuddin, also backed Dr Wan Azizah.
YB, let me remind you that voters from this multiracial constituency elected you to the state assembly to represent their interests.
The supported you because PAS was part of PR.
You have the distinction of being the first PAS representative to win the constituency and you won with a handsome majority of 16,251.
In the 2008, PAS lost the seat by 45 votes.
I know your party leadership is deliberating its final stand on Sunday.
But as a voter, I am wondering whether you will abide by the decision made by your party that is detrimental to PR or stand with constituents.
I trust that you will have the moral courage to make the right decision.

Thank you.
