PAS tells excos not to quit

It's business as usual, says the party's Selangor chief.

KUALA LUMPUR: PAS Secretary General Mustafa Ali has instructed the party’s representatives in the Selangor Executive Council not to resign.

Selangor PAS chief Iskandar Abdul Samad said this today at a press conference held at the party’s Hari Raya open house here.

He said Mustafa told him to ensure that none of the four PAS councillors would quit following PKR’s sacking of Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim from the party.

Iskandar is one of the four.

“We’ll proceed with our work,” he said. “It’s business as usual.”

He said the Selangor government could not function if the exco members were to quit and he feared that the public would blame Pakatan Rakyat for this.
