Pakatan urged to employ Major Zaidi

He should also be fielded for the next general election, says blogger Shahbudin.
zaidi pakatan2PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Rakyat has been urged to provide employment to Major Zaidi Ahmad, the Air Force officer who lost his job yesterday after a military court found him guilty of breaking protocol when he told the press that the indelible ink used in the last general election easily washed off after application.
In his latest blog entry, Umno critic Shahbudin Husin suggests that Zaidi be given a job by one of the state governments controlled by Pakatan.
He writes: “While many are voicing their concern over the livelihood of Major Zaidi’s family now that he has lost his source of income, one of the Pakatan state governments — Selangor, Penang or Kelantan — should come forward to show itself as a responsible government.
“Please do something to help him maintain his family. Give him a job that fits his abilities.”
Shahbudin also suggests that Pakatan field him as a candidate in the next general election.
“For the 14th general election, it would be appropriate for Pakatan to choose Major Zaidi as one of its candidates,” he says.
“Field him in any state or parliamentary constituency because his courage, honesty, sincerity and trustworthiness as well as his trust in God happen to be the very assets required of a leader for this rotting nation of ours.
“Indeed, his candidacy will increase public confidence that the new government will be worthy of the people’s trust.”
