When the Malaysian government has taken so much interest in Sirul Azhar Umar, this shows that the head of government that is the Prime Minister is definitely very worried. If not why must he care so much about Sirul?

The prime minister must have given the instruction to do whatever necessary to bring back Sirul. The Home Minister must have acted with the consent of the Prime Minister. It seems that Sirul has something that the prime minister is worried about. Datuk Seri Najib Razak must be very desperate!

This shows that the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu is catching up on Najib and catching up fast. If Najib had nothing to worry about the murder, why is the government taking every effort to bring back Sirul from Australia?

Frankly, Najib should just leave Sirul alone or let the extradition process take its time; there is no need to hurry as Sirul is not in any way going to make life difficult for Najib.

If Sirul had acted on his own accord and not instructed by others as Najib had rubbished it, then Najib should let Sirul do whatever he likes in Australia. Let Sirul talk, give interviews, write books, sell the movie rights and let it be.

Then Najib could come in and sue him for all his worth! But instead, Najib is willing to do anything to bring Sirul back to Malaysia.

Malaysia is mulling the option of commuting former police commando Sirul Azhar Umar's death sentence to life imprisonment to facilitate his extradition. Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said this strategy might facilitate the return of Sirul.

Besides that, if this is true then it proves that the government is the one who controls the law, the police and the judiciary. Our police and courts are not independent after all!

The courts are just stage shows. When the Federal Court has made the decision, how could the government simply decides something else for Sirul?

But what is so important and special about Sirul? May be Sirul is not important at all but there is something else that matters. Remember, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is also desperate to get the pardon from the Agong.

Is Najib executing his Plan B to try to thwart Tun Dr. Mahathir’s effort to remove him from power? What are the connections and differences between the two desperate politicians?

Dr. Mahathir could have been planning to use Sirul to nail Najib. Thus Najib is desperate in ensuring that Sirul remain silent by giving him the life imprisonment instead of the death penalty.

Even if Dr. Mahathir is not planning to use Sirul, by making Sirul to remain silent, that would solve a lot of problems for Najib; half of the battle would be won. He has just Mahathir to be worried about. But Najib still need help.

With Anwar in jail, it would just be between Mahathir and Najib. Najib could have arranged for Anwar to be pardoned on condition that Anwar will help Najib to stay in power.

Najib is not as foolish as he seems to be. He could be arranging a match between Mahathir and Anwar. Let both of them annihilate each other and Najib hopes that he will be the only one to survive and stay in power.
