Time & Tide Wait For No Man

We are sailing again. About three hours away from Rome. Sea is calm with some slight rollers. We are in a 130 foot super yacht. Orang Melayu punya juga - in case any of you are wondering.

Above : Thats the yacht in Portofino. Owner onboard, 'very' low key.

Below : Berthed in Santo Stefano.

I received those pictures about people wearing watches. So I thought about time. The time and tide waits for no man. This is a fact. We sail on the tide, the sailors say.

As a young child I recall my father telling me the motto from his old high school in Tamil Nadu, the Schwartz High School. Its about spending time wisely. It went like this "Let not thine winged days be spent in vain. When gone no gold can buy them back again'. You can google it. Just for your information the former Indian president, atomic scientist and space scientist APJ Abdul Kalam attended the same Schwartz High School as my father.

Anyway here are some people and their watches :

Zahid : Tengok apa? Ini jam aku. Nanti aku bagi kat hang.

Khairy : I dont have time. My clock stops at 40.

RM : When you have RM why do you need time.

Anwar : Idle talk, idle habits begat plenty of idle time

Najib : Dont tell anyone, but I dont know how to wear this hat. Or any hat.

Ayahanda. Hari masih siang. Cahaya pagi yang menembus
awan. Purnama bulan terang. Bintang berlian dalam gelap malam.
Time and tide can wait.
