DR M'S TROJAN OR NAJIB'S SAVIOR: Pandikar, not Rosmah now giving Najib SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

DR M'S TROJAN OR NAJIB'S SAVIOR: Pandikar, not Rosmah now giving Najib SLEEPLESS NIGHTS
Who is telling the truth and who is lying in the issue of the resignation of Parliament Speaker Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia will eventually be judged by the people themselves.
Finally, Pandikan Amin decided to hold a press conference to disclose what actually happened as he could not bear the pressure any more.
He admitted the fact that he had tendered his resignation to Najib last Saturday around 10pm and later he released a press release denying it.
According to him, the letter of resignation was not only rejected, but not even opened by Najib. The Prime Minister, however, later assured him that his dissatisfaction wold be addressed and promised to transform Parliament.
Following that, Pandikar said he then decided to remain as the Speaker.
More than furniture discussed
During one of his programmes at Ipoh last Saturday, Mahathir highlighted that Pandikar Amin informed him about his resignation as the Speaker. One of the issues Pandikar had complained about was regarding the furniture in his office.
Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Pandikar Amin Mulia
Yesterday, the Chairman of BNBBC, Shahrir Samad said that maybe the issue of no toilet facility in the Speaker’s office could be the reason leading to his resignation.
Although this issue is considered to be resolved, with the people themselves able to evaluate this, the credibility and image of Pandikar Amin is tarnished. No other Speaker has done this before.
Many described him as someone who does not have a firm stand, can be persuaded easily, is less courageous and creates storms in tea cups over trivial issues.
If lack of office equipment and furniture can be an issue, many are wondering how Zahir and Ramli Ngah Talib survived as Speakers earlier and did not complain about such an issue at all.
Can Najib trust Pandikar
Apart from tarnished credibility and image, the other difficult thing for Pandikar Amin is that he has lost Najib’s full trust.
PM Najib
In the midst of conflict with Tun Mahathir, definitely it is disappointing for Najib to find out that Pandikar Amin has actually met the former Prime Minister who is now his biggest enemy to complain on various matters.
It would surely have occurred to Najib that if Pandikar Amin has complained about trivial issues such as the furniture to Tun Mahathir, he would have definitely discussed other big issues as well.
Najib is definitely hurt with Pandikar Amin’s act to complain to Tun Mahathir and talk about his resignation first, instead of to Najib although Najib is the Prime Minister who appointed him as the Speaker.
Whoever is in Najib’s shoe would surely lose confidence in Pandikar Amin for betraying his trust.
At the same time, Tun Mahathir also has lost trust in Pandikar Amin who failed to keep his word to resign and given the fact that he was the one who first met and talked about the issue to the former prime minister.
No one is indispensable, if sincere - Pandikar should really resign
For time being, although Pandikar Amin still remains as the Speaker, given the fact that he has betrayed his trust to Najib, it is possible that Najib may consider another person to replace him.
In a situation where Najib has vowed several times to not bow to Mahathir’s demand to step down, Pandikar Amin’s act is like a thorn in flesh that might affect the continuation of Najib's political career.
Instead of working under uncertain conditions where he has betrayed his boss' trust, for which he might be required to resign later, it is best for Pandikar Amin to tender his resignation again but this time, with much more determination.
Only through this, he can restore his image and credibility. Although not fully, his remaining respect can be salvaged only if he has the courage to really resign rather than remain there. -  budindotcom.blogspot.com
