THE MORE STUBBORN NAJIB IS, THE TOUGHER DR M WILL GET: 3 years jail time looms for the guilty

THE MORE STUBBORN NAJIB IS, THE TOUGHER DR M WILL GET: 3 years jail time looms for the guilty
After many have questioned the answers given by Najib in Parliament about it, now former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad claimed that what the Prime Minister has done is lying and could be convicted as a crime.
Dr. Mahathir claimed that what Najib has done was to conceal the wrong doing in the affairs of government and it is wrong under Section 218 of the Penal Code which provides for imprisonment up to three years, a fine or both.
Heck, would the Prime Minister with all his glory be jailed after this?
In his reply in Parliament on March 10,Najib said the 1MDB money from Cayman Islands amounting to RM1.03 billion is now being kept at BSI Bank in Singapore to facilitate its withdrawal because of the strict regulations of Bank Negara if they wish to withdraw in excess of RM50 million.
However, in a written reply in Parliament last Thursday, Najib told that what was deposited in Singapore is not cash, but it is in the form of assets.
Second Finance Minister Husni Hanadzlah told later, actually is in the form of unit but declined to elaborate on it.
Writing in his blog, the former Prime Minister of 22 years explained that, Najib’s first lie is that there was no cash being remitted by 1MDB, while the second lie is that there is no cash deposited into the account of BSI in Singapore.
As such, Dr. Mahathir wants the police to conduct an investigation and the due legal process should be taken because there is a criminal element in this case.
By attacking, criticizing, demanding resignation and now implicating Najib with that criminal act which carries a jail term of up to three years, it is definitely a signal that Tun Mahathir will continue to push and will not budge even a bit from his stance.
Although Najib has recited the Bugis hymn and claimed his support to Tun Mahathir, particularly in the election of 1987, Dr. Mahathir did not seem shaken by it all.
It is clear that Tun Mahathir is still firm, as solid as the KLCC Petronas Towers wanting Najib to step down to save the future of UMNO and BN in the next general election as he has stated several times before.
Tun Mahathir may realize that it is difficult for the police or Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Home Minister to direct an investigation in the criminal case against Najib that Dr. Mahathir claimed, but certainly the former Prime Minister is gathering the strength of the people’s perception to continue to be on his side.
Raising the possibility of a criminal offense and imprisonment of up to three years and although in reality it is very difficult for this to materialize due to the powerful centralization of power protecting a person who is the Prime Minister, what Dr. Mahathir wants is to continue haunting Najib with the enclosing support of the people.
Whether brought to trial or not, Najib is still found to have committed a grave moral error by the giving answers which are more like lies in Parliament and is easily realised by anyone who swathe two different explanations which have been given.
Therefore it is not only the confidence in Najib within Umno continues be divided, in fact this will be adversely affect Umno with the rejection by the people in the next general election which could not be denied.
Unless Najib step down, and despite trying to find the strength behind the Bugis hymn or getting help from Lim Kok Wing to restore his, Tun Mahathir will certainly continue to erode and undermine the people's trust towards Najib who Dr. Mahathir wants to be removed.
The more stubborn Najib is, the more steps will be taken by Tun Mahathir later. - http://shahbudindotcom.blogspot.com/
