TUN M AND THE LINK TO ‘THE WALL STREET JOURNAL’

Khairuddin-Clare
Tajuddin Rosli, The Rakyat Post
With the whole Sarawak Report (SR) and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) debacle about Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s involvement in misappropriation of 1MDB funds, Najib has without fear alleged that former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad may be behind the allegations.
He strongly refuted the allegations and said that such wrongdoings were nothing short of a criminal offence and threatened arrest of the perpetrators.
For Najib to make such glaring statements, he definitely has some information to back him up.
There is no smoke without fire. Only time will tell what Najib has that would show Mahathir is the man behind the wheel.
One of the leads that links Mahathir with the supposed false allegation is Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan.
Khairuddin Abu Hassan is an ex-vice chairman of Batu Kawan Umno division and is a strong supporter of Mahathir.
In February this year, he was sacked from his position in the Batu Kawan Umno division because he was declared a bankrupt.
In 1998, Khairuddin published a famous book in Malay titled 50 Dalil Kenapa Anwar Ibrahim Tidak Boleh Jadi PM’ during the height of Mahathir-Anwar war.
More recently, he has lodged reports to the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Comission (MACC) against 1MDB for the alleged misappropriation of funds.
More recently, he has made a police report against PM Najib, Datuk Seri Husni Hanadziah (Malaysia’s Second Finance Minister) and the Governor of Bank Negara.
These reports came as no surprise as it is in sync with Mahathir’s attack on 1MDB.
Raub MP Mohd Ariff Sabri Abdul Aziz threatened Najib about attacking Mahathir.
Being another one of Mahathir’s goons, Ariff Sabri on numerous occasions passed very devastating personal statements on Najib, even likening Najib to Satan on one instance.
Ariff even cynically claims Mahathir has no skeleton in the closet compared with Najib. I would agree with Ariff on that. Mahathir has too many skeletons to fit a closet. He probably owns a grave of skeletons instead!
It is no coincidence that following Ariff’s warning to Najib, the Sarawak Report published an article alleging that Najib pocketed 1MDB’s funds directly into his own account.
This followed similar revelations in WSJ.
Prior to the publication by SR, Khairuddin allegedly flew to London and met Clare Rewcastle Brown, who is the owner of SR.
Isn’t it astonishing that a person declared bankrupt in February can suddenly clear all his debts and fly to London in a space of 3-4 months?
A “selfie” picture of Khairuddin and Clare was uploaded by Khairuddin himself on his personal blog. What conspired in that meeting in London?
What was Khairuddin doing with the owner of SR? Were the journalists of WSJ also there when the two met? Lets hope all these questions are answered the coming days.
Very recently, when an information technology (IT) executive of Switzerland, Xavier Andre Justo, was arrested in Thailand for allegedly holding PetroSaudi International ransom with issues involving 1MDB, the portal that came to the defence of Justo was none other than SR.
SR wrote a letter to the Switzerland government condemning the arrest and treatment received by Justo at the hands of the Thai police.
Authorities in Thailand have found leads that evidence was being tampered to corner the Malaysian government.
Was SR getting afraid that the authorities were getting more information about fabricated evidence that they were allegedly publishing?
Daily revelations of links between Mahathir and his allies with Sarawak Report and WSJ are getting interesting.
I hope everything becomes crystal clear soon and the main culprit is punished as soon as possible.
