Crown Prince of Johor says he will help ensure Bangsa Johor is not manipulated by the political interests and ambitions of others.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Crown Prince of Johor has stepped up to protect the state’s sovereignty and the people’s well-being by cautioning them against falling for the political trickery of others.
The increasingly vocal Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim advised Johoreans to “be wise in discerning (political matters), and to make the right decisions”.
“Political language was designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable,” he wrote on the Johor Southern Tigers’ Facebook page today.
“Every once in a while, we come up with quotes and statements. Not with the intention to create tension, but with the intention to educate the Johoreans so they will not fall victim to political trickery, regardless from either side of the political divide.”
Tunku Ismail was also uncompromising in his opinion that Johor would not be led astray by political manipulations as long as he was the crown prince.
“Johor must not be caught in the political games and mess. The people must be wise to analyse it,” he said.
“My responsibility as The Crown Prince of Johor is to ensure that the sovereignty of the state and Bangsa Johor are not manipulated by other people’s political interests and ambition,” warned the prince, adding that everyone had to “band together” to protect the sovereign right of the state and their welfare.
