KUALA LUMPUR - What would you give the country’s most powerful man on his birthday?

Faced with the tough question, the aides of Datuk Seri Najib Razak decided to settle on two cakes and managed to surprise the prime minister with the sweet treat in his office.

The Pahang-born who turns 62 today seemed touched by the simple gesture, and posted the pictures on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, with the former drawing over 11,000 “likes” and more than 180 shares at the time of writing.

“Saya dikejutkan dengan kek di Pejabat tadi. Terima kasih atas ucapan selamat hari jadi,” he wrote in Malay on both accounts.
