PETALING JAYA - Datuk Seri Nazir Razak has suggested in a new post on Instagram that governments should not be feared.
Nazir posted a picture taken at the Asian Institute of Finance Symposium 2015, where he served as a panellist, together with the message: "AIF Symposium panel on ethics, transparency & professionalism in banking. Concluded that we should fear God more, Government less!"
The posting on Wednesday received more than 500 likes in two hours.
Nazir, who is the younger brother of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, is an active user of social photo sharing service Instagram.
On Tuesday, the CIMB Group chairman posted a photo of himself with Bank Negara Malaysia governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz and International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde together with the note: "My moment with 2 icons of global finance".
Two days earlier, he posted a picture of Najib and former deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at a Hari Raya open house, calling it "the last supper".
Nazir has recently been linked with the setting up of a non-governmental organisation with like-minded individuals such as Global Movement of Moderates chief executive officer Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah over concerns regarding Malaysia's present socio-political landscape. - ANN
