KOTA BARU - The Kelantan 1Melayu Organisation (P1M) has asked the police to probe the the blog called Malaysia Daily Opinion alleged to have made calls to topple the government.
Its president, Azman Mohd Noor, said the blog had named several prominent leaders such as former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, alleged to have been involved in the plot.
He was referring to the posting entitled “Is Dr Mahathir the lead character In Malaysia House of Cards?“, which also alleged the involvement of business daily The Edge owner Datuk Tong Kooi Ong and PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar, among others.
“The article gave a clear indication that those mentioned were indeed involved in the plot to topple the government.
“If true, such actions are dangerous and very serious,” he said after lodging the report at the Kota Baru district police headquarters here today.

He said the action could be considered a crime under the Penal Code, adding that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s appointment was at the behest of the Yang di-Pertuan Agung and was legitimate.
“Therefore, we lodged this report as rakyat who love peace and democracy,
“If they are true, I hope the authorities can mount an investigation to ascertain the authenticity of the portal’s claims.
“We cannot accept that the matter was tied to Tun Mahathir as it is impossible for him to be involved as mentioned.” - Therakyatpost
