MOTHER OF ALL SANDIWARA: Rahman Dahlan VOWS to topple Najib if RM2.6 bil is 'rakyat's money'
BN strategic communication director Abdul Rahman Dahlan says he and his Umno colleagues will personally see through Najib Abdul Razak's downfall if the RM2.6 billion deposited into the prime minister's personal bank accounts was indeed the rakyat's money.
Rahman gave this assurance in a dialogue on the issue on TV1 last night, during which he insisted that the massive money deposits into the accounts of Najib, who is also Umno president, were not from state-own 1MDB.
"If the RM2.6 billion is the rakyat's money being robbed, there is no need for Clare Brown, Wall Street Journal or Sarawak Report to topple the Umno president.
"I and the other Umno folks will topple him," Rahman said.
Sarawak Report and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) were the first to report about the RM2.6 billion deposits into Najib's bank accounts.
Malaysian police have since issued an arrest warrant for Sarawak Report editor-in-chief Clare Rewcastle-Brown (photo) while Najib has threatened to sue WSJ.
In the TV1 interview, Rahman said Umno will not be above the law, if indeed there had been wrongdoing in relation to the RM2.6 billion funds.

"When the opposition makes an allegation, it does not mean that it is with basis.
"When allegations were made that he RM2.6 billion was from 1MDB, from day one, the prime minister had said this was not the rakyat's money and not for his personal use.
"From day one, 1MDB too said 'No, it's not our money', but netizens didn't believe," he said.
Rahman admitted that the government was not on the defensive, but said it had its own game-plan.
"We are defensive because we have our strategy - If people don't believe what the prime minister said, then investigate.
"After the investigation, it was revealed whether it is the rakyat's money or not. Case solved," he said, adding that the outcome should be respected. - M'kini
