Syed Ali: Billions confirmed but where is leftover after GE?

Blogger also wants to know how the money entered the country if every amount over RM50 million requires clearance from Bank Negara.

KUALA LUMPUR: Hooray! MACC confirms RM2.6 billion in personal accounts, notes blogger Syed Akhbar Ali, taking to his blog, OutSyed The Box.
“So, does this mean that the Sarawak Report and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) did not have any berbaur-baur fitnah (slander) on the RM2.6 billion in personal accounts issue?”
He assumes that no one was going to apologise to the Sarawak Report and the WSJ. “No? They are just white-skinned people? Oh, ok!”
Syed agrees with Ahmad Maslan that no one would be “so damned stupid to put RM2.6 billion in their personal accounts”. “So, now there are two of them (including Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak),” said the blogger.
The blogger wants Najib to answer what became of the RM2.6 billion left over after the last General Election. “They did not spend all the billions on the election. There was a huge sum left over. So, where’s the left over money?” he asked.
“The accounts were closed. Where did the money go after the accounts were closed? Who can answer? Who should answer?.”
“Bank Negara has to provide the answers,” said the blogger.
Syed also called on the Prime Minister to explain, besides the RM2.6 billion, from whom did 1MDB buy the “units” in Singapore. “if the money in Singapore could not be brought back, how did the RM2.6 billion enter the country?’
He recalled that Najib had said, in Parliament and elsewhere, that 1MDB could not bring back money to Malaysia from the Cayman Islands/Singapore because Bank Negara had too much red tape.
“There was something about any amount more than RM50 million getting clearance etc. That’s why 1MDB, or its subsidiary, put the money in Singapore,” reminded Syed . “Then, later we found out that the money was not even there. They became ‘units’.”
Some documents were also forged, he continued in recalling recent events. “Have you all forgotten that story? Documents were forged! The bottomline was that there was no money in that bank in Singapore.”
