When MO1 is not MO1

YOURSAY | ‘Nawawi, it was clear as daylight what you said and what you meant.’
GE14Now!: “There are two things different, where DOJ (Department of Justice) mentions MO1 is Malaysia Official One, while I said Malaysia Official Number One," said Langkawi MP Nawawi Ahmad.
This is a clarification? Or are you just doing a Hillary Clinton?
Vijay47: It is pathetic to see these Umno leaders trying to squirm their way out of a serious predicament of their own making.
As is typical of all such Umno leaders, they do not have any intelligence to guide what they utter and when they find that they have committed a grave mistake, they do not have the spine or self-respect to own up to what they have done and face the consequences that they deserve.
They then reduce themselves to coming out with contemptible excuses and justification for what they said.
This Nawawi Ahmad's statement is only half the issue - what is the great inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar going to do about it?
He is quick to take action against those he feels do not serve Umno's interest but seems very quiet about this MP even when he has openly insulted the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Perhaps Khalid again feels that acting against an Umno leader would conflict with his syariah values. Then again, Nawawi could be another of his church-attacking thuggish brothers.
Ferdtan: If Nawawi is from the opposition party, especially DAP, he would be inside the lock-up already and duly charged with sedition.
Bazooka: Nawawi, don't try to wriggle your way out. It was clear as daylight what you said and what you meant. You were referring to the DOJ suit.
You said MO1 is the Agong. It doesn't matter what the constitution says; it is not related to the DOJ suit.
Now that you find yourself trapped in your own warped logic, you tried to blame the opposition for your gaffe!
This is the standard line of defence by all BN politicians of the present regime. If anything goes wrong, blame it on the opposition.
Bert: Nawawi, you think Malaysians are stupid like you? You can twist and turn, which you are very good at. But we are not that stupid to swallow all that you say.
FellowMalaysian: Nawawi is just another of Umno's group of spineless good-for-nothing sycophants, who, when caught making seriously flawed statements, deny doing so and avoid apologising by arguing it into their favour.
For causing a faux pas out of purposely misinterpreting DOJ's MO1, Nawawi must not be let off the hook.
Old Timer: There is nothing unusual about this Umno leader. He is just like all the others.
Their trademark is they were misquoted, misunderstood, or they did not mean this or that, or the opposition wanted to get them into trouble.
What they really are is this: they are arrogant, on the borderline of stupidity and can't think.
Cogito Ergo Sum: Indeed, good people have been charged with sedition for saying milder things. This is nothing less than treason. It would be very obvious why no action is taken against this man for such a travesty.
Anonymous 2428601469684921: You just cannot ascribe the word "Official" to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as the Agong is not an official/public servant.
He is the hereditary head of state and not a public official appointed by the people to serve in government.
He is also not the No 1 public official of the land either as that role is occupied by the prime minister as the head servant of His Majesty's government.
The Agong is not a public official. He is the king. His duties may bring him into the sphere of public service but he is not to be mistaken for a public servant.
Anyone with half a brain knows MO1 is Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and trying to say otherwise is just immoral and dumb.
RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: Yes, it is Najib's fault. He allows the problem to drag on - telling lies almost every day to the country and now even not respecting the king.
Kuala Terengganu MP Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad is right about those religious scholars and muftis. When fishermen and road sweepers can see how corrupt the leadership is, they pretend not to.

Bluemountains: Najib and his cabinet have also shown disrespect for the Agong and the Conference of Rulers when they ignored their request to have the National Security Council (NSC) Bill refined. - Mkini
