KANGAR: Passers-by were surprised to find a newborn child inside a cardboard box early Saturday near a hypermarket here.
The boy, who was swaddled in a piece of cloth, had two soft toys and a green towel around him but there was no note left behind to indicate who had abandoned him.
Kangar district police chief Supt Wari Kiew said police were alerted at about 7.10am and a ambulance was rushed to the scene.
