No second post-mortem on Jong-nam's body, says Health DG

The Health Ministry has clarified that a second post-mortem would not be carried out on the body of Kim Jong-nam, who is believed to have been poisoned on Feb 13 at the KL International Airport 2 (KLIA2).
Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said DNA specimens would be sent to the Chemistry laboratory for accreditation and analysis to determine the cause of death.
“The body underwent a full post-mortem - computer tomography, external and internal post-mortem examinations and forensic dental examination - all of which were conducted professionally in the same premise and in compliance with international standards.
“Medicolegal specimens taken were handed according to the provisions of  the law to maintain the chain of custody. The specimens have been handed to the investigating officer for analysis,” he told a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Previously, certain media organisations claimed that a second post-mortem had been carried out, and this had infuriated Pyongyang.
Noor Hisham said preliminary results of the the post-mortem on Feb 15, there were no signs of needles or injection on Kim's body nor was there any injury.
"We concluded that he did not suffer a heart attack. We also found that there were no clear signs that he was injected or injured," Noor Hisham said.

He added the post-mortem was conducted by forensic experts with extensive experience.
International reports previously speculated poison by needle as being one of the method Jong-nam was possibily killed.
Jong-nam died short after two individuals covered his face with a cloth said to be laced with an unidentified chemical by a woman.- Mkini
