Perak DAP chairperson Ngo Kor Ming said he might quit politics if Pakatan Harapan fails to form the next federal government after the next general election.
Speaking at a DAP fundraising dinner in Ayer Tawar on Monday, Nga said the coming general election was a 'last chance' to beat BN and if voters didn’t 'wake up', they would have to face the consequences.
“I have sacrificed and contributed for 25 years. If we don’t topple BN in the coming elections, it is very likely I will leave politics,” he said, according to Chinese daily Nanyang Siang Pau today.
He shared his prediction that Harapan would win 62 percent of the popular vote in the coming polls allowing the coalition to form the next government.
Nga, 46, was elected as a member of the Perak legislative assembly in 1999 when he was just 27 years old.
He is currently the Taiping MP and Kepayang assemblyperson. - Mkini
