Ronnie Liu returns, six new faces as DAP announces Selangor seats

GE14 | DAP has announced that it will contest in four parliamentary and 16 state seats in Selangor for the 14th general election.
Six new faces feature in the lineup, while state central committee member Ronnie Liu will make his comeback in Sungai Pelek after being dropped in the last polls.
The parliamentary seats will include Bangi and Damansara, renamed from Serdang and Petaling Jaya Utara respectively, after the recent redelineation exercise.
Besides the 15 state seats it won in the 2013 polls, DAP will also contest in Dusun Tua, which is held by PAS.
The announcement was made by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng in the Bangi DAP election operations room today.
In his speech, Lim said that the lineup was decided upon by the party's central executive committee, and extended thanks to those who were not nominated again for their service over the last five years.
"I hope they will continue to serve, the party is bigger than the individual, no one is bigger than party," he said.
'Grey areas'
DAP considers Sungai Pelek and Kuala Kubu Bahru to be 'grey', or difficult to win, seats.
In the last polls, DAP won Sungai Pelek with a relatively narrow margin of 1,972 votes, and Kuala Kubu Bahru by 1,702 votes.
It was previously speculated that state excos Ean Yong Hian Wah and Teng Chang Khim would be fieled in the seats.
Newcomer Lim Yi Wei will stand in Kampung Tunku, with incumbent assemblyperson Lau Wang San being moved to Banting, formerly Teluk Datuk.
